Today i will be sharing all about the products i received from Stylekorean. I squeaked in happiness when i received this box.

After all, i have been combating acne issues, post acne pigmentation and pore issues so this box arrived just in time via EFS delivery.

I have to say that the selection of products sent are very thoughtful, peeling gel, pads, vitamin c, ampoule and ceramide moisturiser is a great combination for compromised skin barrier.

Due to the pandemic, constant wearing of mask results in congestion and every few days, my skin will have a few pimples breaking out, whilst dealing with post acne pigmentation and scars.

I needed an effective routine to skin my skin supple and moisturised. 

[Neogen] SUR.MEDIC+ Deep Clear Bright Calming Peeling Gel 120ml

This is essentially a hydrating peeling gel to help remove impurities on our skin due to pollution, it is very gentle and doesn't have rough beads that causes micro-tears.

It has Cica and Tea tree  ingredients to soothe our skin.

For very sensitive skin, you may want to do a patch test first.

How to Use: I usually use this after i have cleased my face.

Review: Priced affordably, this peeling gel is great for my skin, after washing my face, i feel like my skin is brighter due to the Bio Honey acids. I love that this peeling gel isn't harsh and i  enjoy this gentle exfoliation that will enable my skin to absorb the skincare steps i will perform later.

Love that this helps with my huge pores, my face feels clean and not stripped. My skin feels so soft and supple. 

This combines the benefits of physical and chemical exfoliation. 

the pads are super unique as they have dual sides.

These pads are enormous, after swiping it all over my face, i proceeded with my neck, cleavage, arms and legs.

Review: Now i have to be honest with you, this product is my least favourite in terms of smell, but it is an effective antioxidant! The truth is, the saying goes, Morning C Night A, whereby vitamin c for morning skincare routine is a must, as for the night time, retinod is great. This product is not tacky, it absorbs real fast and i can slap on my daytime moisturiser and SPF in no time! Bonus points that it comes in a dark dropper bottle and i store it in my cupboard away from the sunlight. 

In terms of pricing, Vitamin C serums are usually quite expensive and you have to use it up fast to prevent oxidation. However this serum uses Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate which a stabilized source of vitamin C! So kudos for that and we do not have to worry about it being oxidised. 👍

For all acne warriors out there, a good quality vitamin C is vital !

Word of caution: Recommend using one vitamin C product to avoid over-exfoliating. DO NOT layer Vitamin C  with AHAs and BHAs like glycolic, salicylic, retinol, niacinamide and lactic acids. If used together, it just cancels out the benefits od each other and  a sure RECIPE OF DISASTER!!!!

 [Neogen] SUR.MEDIC+ Azulene Soothing Peptide Ampoule 80ml

The key ingredients are this soothing peptide ampoule is Blue Capsules which contains highly concentrated azulene and 10 kinds of peptides for instantly soothing effect, as well as Ceramide Capsules to moisturize skin. Also, it is formulated with 5 centella asiatica ingredients to soothe skin and protects skin from external aggressors to keep it healthy. We all know that ceramide works best to calm compromised skin barrier, which is why this ampoule is best for acne prove skin, whereby it helps to calm sensitive skin and strengthen our skin barrier.

How to use: I usually apply half a dropper on cleansed skin after toner. gently massage the ampoule in and prep skin more heavier moisturiser.

Review: I have to say this is a generous big bottle as usually ampoule comes in 50ml. Not to mention the beautiful blue packaging and a very hygienic dropper to dispense adequate amount of product. I love how this product is so lightweight, non greasy and refreshing, helps to calm my skin irritations caused by shaving, and provide sufficient moisture. More often than not, I have these angry pimples and are so painful, this ampoule soothes and calms my irritated skin.

Word of caution: Do not mix vitamin C and copper peptides in the same routine. The copper oxidizes the ascorbic acid and causes it to break down rapidly, which means it has no time to get the job done. Hence, it is recommended to try use a vitamin C serum during the day and copper peptide cream at night to so that both powerful ingredients do not cancel out each other.

[Neogen] Sur.Medic+ Super Ceramide 100™ Renewal Cream 50ml

Now this is the final product i apply, as pcitured, the cream is quite thick, i love to combine this with a toner/essence to ease it.

It has five essential ceramides to restore the skin barrier, along with hyaluronic acid for extra moisturizing benefits. Centella Asiatica Extract and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extracts help soothe stressed skin. adenosin helps reduces fine lines and wrinkles.

What i love about this product is that it has no smell at all, so this is great for my sensitive skin.

Now, i will put up photos of before and after using all the products.

Before: was captured two weeks ago

I had angry pimples popping out especially around my chin area, i was devastated and i decided to streamline my routine, i made sure i do not mix products that are counter-productive, as for the exfoliation, i do not use it everyday, if i were to use the peeling gel, then i will skip the pads.

as you can see, on the left photo i have a few spots around my mouth area due to excessive wearing of mask

this pimple was particularly painful and did make me lose confidence, it was huge and had milk-ish secretions

while the lighting is different, the results are drastic, my skin texture feels clearer, i still have occasional spots here and there, but 

I made sure my skin sebum level is balanced to avoid over-production of oils especially at my nose area.

This streamlined routine gave good results to my skin, though now and then i still have pimples and breakout, the old scars slowly fade away thanks to the constant use of Vitamin C.

Also, my skin will be so soft when i wake up if i use the pads the night before.

Overall, i think this assemble is pretty effective for skin prone to breakout, although i have to state that our lifestyle plays a huge part on how our skin  feels and look.

I'm not one to pull all nighters, and i contribute some huge pimples due to staying up all night, which i regret the next day.
