my experience at Beaute Library , Caudalie Express D-Vine Facial

my experience at Beaute Library started when i received a complimentary Beaute Floral Essential Facial Treatment worth RM880 which to me is blatantly overpriced.

I called to their call centre using the number provided. A lady set the time and place after we discussed about it.

I later received text messages to inform that an appointment is booked.

I arrived at about 3.20pm Sunday for my appointment at 3.30pm.

Upon arrival, the beautician took my IC for verification and to key in their data base.

The procedure was fairly slow due to their online system is down.

2 gentlemen were there as well for the facial when i walked in.

After some adjustment, The beautician proceeded to ask me fill in the questionnaire and to state im not pregnant nor sick.

It is important to note that prior to this facial, there shall be no strong usage of AHA or retinol as it will increase skin sensitivity.

I was led to their consultation room where the beautician asked me to answer a few questions, when was my last facial.

She then use a microscopic device to take image of my various skin issues.

She said i have some pigmentation which will surface very soon shall i not remove them, and my skin is very dry.

I told her that my skin is very thin so i do not wish to have any harsh treatments.

She gave me some time to change into the robe and i just lie still on the bed.

1) make up removal

2) double cleanse and exfoliate

3) scrub mask and steamer

by step 3, she left me in the room for the steamer session

the steamer is shown below where i can hear the sound of water droplets during the procedure

4) the extraction is honestly quite painful done using a scapel

i rate 6/10 as i clenched my fist while she was done it

She extracted 2 or 3 spots for me and i did took a toilet break to examine my spots,

i saw tiny amount of blood at my forehead, so the following treatments are pretty soothing

5) eye brow shaping was pretty fast, about 5 minutes.

6) then came the soothing mask which is a concoction of rose mask and other ingredients

i was left in the room for 30 minutes for the mask to coagulate

She put soaked cotton pads on my eye area, follow up with a gauze, and then she applied the mask all over.

I fell asleep albeit a little uncomfortable as i had to lie still.

7) after removing the mask, she applied some sort of toner and used a machine to massage my face, it was very cooling and soothe my few spots

8) massage is done using the rose oil and my shoulders and neck. the beautician had strong hands and it was comfortable

8) she then applied moisturiser and the tiniest amount of sunscreen.

Overall, looking at their products sold at their website, i thought the price was exorbitant, where all products are packaged with their own brands. a serum cost RM680.

Now, the important part came.

I was led into the consultation room again, this time she asked how was it facial.

I said it was alright, She asked if i love to sign up their package.
