sunscreen- SUNPLAY

so i have always been looking for good sunscreens. unfortunately, regardless of their performance, they are always price RM150 and above, which i have to say, they are really expensive.

i used to not wear sunscreens when i go out, even worst, staying under the hot sun. i have realised my mistake after talking to a counter lady which she advised me to wear sunscreen EVERYDAY.

WHY? you may think that you are indoors most of the time or it is a gloomy day, but you still need broad spectrum of UVA and UVB protection.

so far, i have tried various sunscreens. and i made a wrong move by buying a natural brand and not using it immediately, so upon inspection there are bubbles created, which i suspect has expired. this leads to me being a little paranoid.

when i went to One Utama today, they were having a SUNPLAY roadshow, which prices are slashed to 30% off. alright, i know i can easily get them in Guardian and Watson, but they dont alway have testers and sometimes they sell products which are displayed for over a year. OMG. so please do check the expiry date.

previously, i used the shiseido alcohol free sunscreen, which i love the fact that it is odourless and you only have to apply once. SPF50 means it can last for 16 hours hence you save the job of reapplying. however, it leaves a white cast on my face. because it is alcohol free, i find it hard for the sunscreen to be absorbed into my face.

however, when i use their normal sunscreen which comes in Matte and normal one, the smell of the alcohol is so pungent that i hated it so much. well, i think i can applying them to my body. i do like the fact that they are super water-resistant.

alright, so i purchased this alcohol free sunscreen. 20ml for RM28.00. i agree that it is so small, but i guess it is better than buying large sizes and end up not finishing it.
i have tried on the tester, and thankfully it doesnt leave a white cast which makes people think i have applied foundation unevenly or the fact i look like a zombie. and most importantly, alcohol free

below is the free gift. this SPF130 should be used on a beach day or some sort. WHY????? if you apply such a strong SPF on a normal day on your face, it will clog your pores. so on normal days, SPF 30-50 is ideal.

alway apply sunscreen 15 mins before you go out, so it can be fully absorbed. and reapply when necessary!!!!!

finally, always use an oil cleanser or double cleanse even if you do not wear makeup. i find that using oil cleansers are the best way to clean my face at the end of the day, washing away the residue of sunscreen and cleaning the dirt and sweat on my face.
